The Instrumentation Engineer will oversee plant instrumentation maintenance and reliability initiatives in coordination with site Operations, Maintenance and Engineering. Instrumentation activities will include sensor selection, loop design, field instrument integration, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in instrumentation for continuous processing industries such as petrochemical, chemical or oil & gas. RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical expertise to Roehm Bay City Engineering, Operations and Maintenance including the assessment and troubleshooting of instrumentation and controls. Provide expert guidance on instrumentation selection, installation, and operational troubleshooting. Evaluate and optimize instrumentation and analyzer PM strategies and recommend critical spare parts for plant instrumentation. Develop guidelines and procedures for plant instrumentation repairs and calibrations. Perform instrumentation selection, sizing, and calibration, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement devices. Develop long and short-term improvement plans for the plant instrumentation reliability and upgrades. Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on instrumentation failures and analyze data using appropriate reliability analysis tools to develop and implement corrective action plans. Develop, review and update P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument data sheets. Provide technical support for procurement, ensuring instrumentation meets project specifications. Work with vendors to evaluate and approve instrumentation and related components. Ensure compliance with ISA, API, NEC, and other applicable industry standards. QUALIFICATIONS

B.S. or more advanced degree Electrical, Controls/Automation Engineering, or a related discipline. 7 or more years of experience working as an Electrical Instrumentation Engineer in the continuous processing industries such as Petrochemical, Chemical or related industry Experience with control valves, flow, level, pressure, and temperature instruments, and control schemes Strong expertise in P&ID reviews, Cause and Effect diagram creation, and Control Narratives. Strong experience with industrial computer systems, motor control, PLCs, and DCS. Experience with analog and digital signals, and process communication network systems. Extensive knowledge of instrumentation and analyzer systems and troubleshooting with an emphasis on instrumentation Knowledge of a broad range of industry standards including NFPA, API, ASME, and ISA standards. Skilled in Instrument, Controls, and Analyzer terminologies and maintenance processes. Skilled in interpreting electrical diagrams/schematics and loop drawings. Must have a desire and ability to remain current with recent technology and developments within the industry Computer proficient (MS Office, SAP) Good written and oral communication skills to interface with engineering, operations and maintenance personnel. Ability to plan and manage multiple issues/projects simultaneously Primary schedule M-F, but must be available for on-call and to work turn arounds Project Management experience is desired. Must have the ability to wear and utilize required PPE due to potential exposure to hazardous conditions and/or materials. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime. Must be able to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, elevated walkways, and walk, stand, stoop for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to travel up to 10%. Familiarity with medium/low (480v) voltage equipment is a plus. WHAT WE OFFER
