Job Summary Lead Estimating processes during the preconstruction phase, manage resources, drive cost control, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to secure business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage SourceBlue Estimating processes and allocate appropriate resources.
Oversee reimbursement of Estimating employees and G&A costs.
Enhance relationships with clients, architects, and trades for business development.
Review drawings, specifications, and documents; identify design risks.
Develop and issue bid packages; assess vendor bids and prepare analyses.
Solicit vendor pricing; collaborate with Global Sourcing.
Manage value engineering during preconstruction.
Collaborate with SB Business Development for proposals and client presentations.
Coordinate procurement schedules and analyze subcontractor proposals.
Support Launch Matrix preparation and milestone estimates.
Develop pull plans with Lean Manager.
Prepare comparison analyses and variance reports for stakeholders.
Provide recommendations for strategic supply chain awards.
Lead Target Value Design process where appropriate.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 12 years of building construction experience.
Experience with a variety of building construction types.
Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and procurement documents.
Proficiency in estimating, cost control, scheduling, and purchasing.
Excellent client relationship and business development skills.
Advanced project management and lean concepts.
Proficient in BIM, scheduling, and Microsoft Office.
Strong negotiation, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
Travel 20‑30 %.
