Overview By applying for this role, you will be considered for RF Engineering career opportunities within Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) division. This is a Pipeline Req; sample statement of work, and actual job responsibilities will be within one of our functional organizations. We may have multiple opportunities at various levels.

MFC is one of five Lockheed Martin business areas. MFC designs, develops and manufactures precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries, including advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems. Customers include the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, NASA and many foreign allies. MFC serves global civil nuclear and green power initiatives with seven principal product categories and operates in more than 50 countries.

MFC is expanding its RF Engineering teams in multiple locations, including Orlando, FL; Ocala, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Troy, AL; and Chelmsford, MA. Candidates may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Most RF Engineering positions do not offer teleworking/remote opportunities; however, a Flex 4/10 schedule with every Friday off is available in some cases. Relocation assistance is possible for many positions.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM), prefer Electrical Engineering discipline; or equivalent combination of experience with education

Eligible to obtain a minimum DoD Secret Clearance (US Citizenship Required)

Minimum of two years work experience in ANY of the following:

RF or Microwave design

Designing and testing RF circuits at the CCA level

RF simulation at system level (SystemVue/AWR VSS), circuit level (ADS / Microwave Office), and full-wave level (CST / HFSS)

Troubleshooting RF, Microwave, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering designs to resolve integration issues

Schematic Review, RF Block Diagrams and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA)

Microwave test equipment and microwave circuit simulation tools

Radar / RF Signal Process Engineering, including RADAR concepts (Detection, Estimation, Tracking)

EMI/EMC requirements, flow down to subsystems, E3 control plans, hardware allocation

E3 design experience, including electromagnetic theory and practical design support

Test events for MIL-STD-461 and/or MIL-STD-464

Design and troubleshooting of RF Datalink Engineering

RF Communications architecture experience

RF test equipment and RF hardware verification

RF Subsystems Design and troubleshooting

Production support of RF systems and subsystems

Hybrid (Chip and Wire) assemblies

RF Receivers and Transmitters Modules

RF Test Equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters

Lab Equipment such as Oscilloscopes and Power Supplies

RF Components knowledge (mixers, amplifiers, switches, VCOs, Dividers, PLLs, Attenuators, LNA)

RF Cascaded Analysis

RF Simulation Models (CST, ADS, Genesys, System Vue, HFSS, Microwave Office)

Automated Test Equipment (ATE) tools (LabView or TestStand)

High-frequency RF testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting with RF probe station

Low Observables: Stealth Engineer, Radar Cross Section (RCS), Signatures, Antennas, Radomes, or CEM

Electronics Packaging Engineer: SMT, CCA Packaging, PWB Packaging, Cabling & Harness Packaging

Desired Skills

Active DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance

Defense or Aerospace Industry experience

Previous Missile Program experience
