Lecturer A/2 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month; Lecturer B/3 Range: $6,221 – $13,224 per month; Lecturer C/4 Range: $6,825 – $14,523 per month; Lecturer D/5 Range: $8,593 – $15,211 per month. Anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. The Civil Engineering Department in the College of Engineering, Computer Science & Construction Management is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2025-26 academic year. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Minimum Qualifications
The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a closely related field) or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a closely related field) plus significant relevant professional or teaching experience, proficiency in spoken and written English, technical skills appropriate for courses taught, and the ability to teach undergraduate civil engineering courses. Preferred Qualifications
Work experience in the civil engineering profession and licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE), Structural Engineer (SE), or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS). Responsibilities
Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in teaching one or more courses, including delivering lectures, creating and grading assignments, and creating and grading exams. Some courses include sections with learning activities and laboratory exercises. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications and department needs. How to Apply
