Overview
Automation Technician role focusing on maintenance, troubleshooting, and programming support within an industrial setting.
Responsibilities
Understand and follow work instructions and control plans
Maintain an organized, clean work environment and positively impact the plant’s safety initiatives
Conduct PLC ladder logic troubleshooting, hardware troubleshooting, programming and analog inputs & outputs
Conduct troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of AC & DC motors and drives
Perform basic programming and troubleshooting of robotic equipment
Instruct team members on robotic paths, I/O, and interfacing
Assist Automation Engineers and other departments during development, installation, and programming of line upgrades and line installations
Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
AAS Degree with an Automation or Robotics emphasis preferred
Demonstrated understanding of basic concepts, programming, and troubleshooting of CNC servo controls, encoders, and resolvers
Valid driver’s license required for travel to other facilities or training locations
Must demonstrate excellent attendance, attitude, and decision-making skills
