Job Description
Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business through customer retention and growth. Partners with GM to manage Team Members. Requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts. Ability to source from various channels including special orders, FDO, second sources, etc. Directs drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery. This is a full-time position. Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives Support Day-to-day supervision of Team Members Collaborate with GM on coaching and development of Team Members Dispatch drivers to meet delivery standards Maintain commercial stocking programs Build and sustain a network of second source suppliers Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns Manage commercial credit accounts Partner with GM for driver coverage Success Factors
Friendly communication skills Parts locating and stocking ability Safety knowledge and skills Proficiency with inventory systems and store equipment Parts and automotive system knowledge Operating POS and parts lookup systems ASE P2 certification or equivalent Advanced solution and product recommendation skills Ability to source from multiple channels Advanced selling skills for commercial customers Multi-tasking and organizational skills Essential Job Skills
Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics Effective communication in English (Spanish a plus) Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and catalogs Basic math skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Strong organizational skills Understanding of commercial profitability concepts Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends Prior Experience
Minimum of 3 years automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability and team leadership experience are advantageous. Education
High school diploma or GED required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
ASE Certification preferred but not required. Physical Demands
Must be able to walk, stand, lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Requires good vision and physical agility. Work Environment
Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise is possible. Position is eligible for sales commissions based on performance. Application acceptance is for 60 days from opening date.
