Job Description: We are seeking a Process Control & Automation Engineer to join our Process Automation & Systems Division within the Process and Control Systems Department. The department provides services in process engineering, automation, new energy, and digitalization to various Aramco entities. Your role involves automation system design, installation, and commissioning for Oil & Gas facilities. You will advise on operational processes, equipment, technology, and facility design to address operational and maintenance issues. Key Responsibilities: Implement safety instrumented systems (SIS), SCADA, DCS, and turbo machinery control systems. Execute process control for hydrocarbon, gas, NGL, refinery, petrochemical, pipeline, and distribution facilities. Conduct engineering studies to optimize solutions, increase revenue, reduce costs, and enhance safety. Participate in process safety reviews such as HAZOP, SIL analysis, and risk assessments. Perform cost analyses and value engineering to recommend cost-effective solutions. Evaluate vendor and contractor capabilities; act as a company representative in technical dealings. Develop and maintain engineering standards, material specifications, procedures, and best practices. Introduce new technologies and best practices to achieve industry-leading performance. Conduct seminars and technical meetings to share innovations and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred. Minimum 20 years of professional experience in technical roles within the field. Experience with automation technologies, DCS, SIS systems, and project leadership in automation system projects. Previous work with major Oil & Gas companies or automation system suppliers. Participation in HAZOP and SIL studies for oil & gas facilities. Design and implementation experience with control schemes (boilers, motors, burners, compressors). Knowledge of process automation networks, communication protocols, and control applications.
