Storm Duty Requirements

Tampa Electric and its sister companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our Tampa Electric customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures. Mon – Fri, 20-40 hours, varies on location and/or role The TECO Energy Internship & Cooperative Education Program offers college degree-seeking students the opportunity for professional growth while meeting the business needs of the company. The program is an extension of the educational process, providing practical experience to complement formal classroom work. The co-op program recruits students from colleges to give them an opportunity to work in a professional environment related to their field of study. Position Summary/Details

The co-op will support Environmental Services initiatives by working alongside subject matter experts within the department, including: Air (emissions tracking, plant operations/power generation), Water (NPDES permitting, stormwater management systems), Land (Environmental Resource Permitting, storage tank compliance), Waste (solid & hazardous waste management, chemical management, contamination assessment & remediation), Sustainability (Manatee protection/outreach, Blue Carbon, GHG tracking/initiatives, etc.) Accountabilities

Provide input & research support on sustainability initiatives (e.g., Blue Carbon, Solar-Listed Species interaction studies) Update Air Emission Trend dataset & develop charts for evaluation & presentation Research water use permits and evaluate opportunities for adjacent partnerships Coordinate aspects of prospective wetland mitigation bank business opportunity Physical Location and Working Conditions

Part – Time (20-30 hours) Qualifications

Education: The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline. Co-Op Requirements: To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university’s co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. Required Degree:
