Our client, a leading organization in facility management and operations, is seeking a Building Operating Engineer to join their team. As a Building Operating Engineer, you will be part of the Facilities Maintenance Department supporting the Operations Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, problem‑solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Building Operating Engineer
Location: Florence, SC
What's the Job?
Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all systems.
Perform maintenance and repairs on Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, and Life Safety systems to ensure compliance with standards.
Monitor and calibrate HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Record readings, make adjustments, and document maintenance activities accurately.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
What's Needed?
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2-4 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
Ability to analyze the operation of various Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems and take corrective actions.
EPA 608 Type II Certification.
Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel.
