Overview
Mainframe Security Engineer Encryption and Digital Certificate Management Bank of America is seeking a Mainframe Security Engineer focused on encryption and digital certificate management. This role supports multiple security engineering efforts to deliver enterprise security capabilities, with responsibilities spanning the design, development, and implementation of systems that protect data, devices, and systems. The position requires delivering milestones on engineering initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams, and solving complex issues within one or more security domains with moderate oversight. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement systems to protect system boundaries, harden computers and network devices against attacks, and secure sensitive data Drive complex information security projects to ensure on-time delivery Identify and raise risks and potential vulnerabilities at all stages of the security engineering process Apply knowledge of information security technologies, techniques, and processes while growing expertise in one or more security engineering domains Identify, define, and document system security requirements Collaborate with diverse stakeholders with varying priorities to negotiate paths forward Think creatively to develop multiple solutions to complex problems Required Qualifications
5 years supporting or administering mainframe infrastructure systems 3 years experience using mainframe security products as a technical or provisioning support person 3 years experience in a financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industry Background in security and risk within a mainframe environment Ability to use general Office Suite products on Windows Ability to participate in off-hour rotating on-call schedule Ability to work independently and on a team Desired Qualifications
5 years hands-on experience installing, configuring, and/or administering mainframe encryption technologies 5 years hands-on experience developing and managing digital certificates through mainframe security technologies Experience working with external digital certificate consumers to ensure appropriate encryption/certificate is applied to data transmissions Experience analyzing mainframe systems and applications to ensure proper encryption and certificate management Knowledge of BMC Remedy or IT Service Management Tool Skills
