MSP, A division of TSI, is a fast-moving and agile organization experiencing tremendous growth. MSP serves both the Semiconductor and Pharmaceutical markets. We provide technology differentiated vaporization and filtration products to CVD/ALD process tool manufacturers in addition to contamination standards and systems to defect inspection equipment manufacturers. MSP is also the industry leader in pharmaceutical inhalation test products and in providing the core measurement for DPI/MDI characterization applications. We are looking for a person who wants to join a dynamic and motivated team serving the pharmaceutical and semiconductor metrology markets.

What Will You Do? In order to grow and build a successful career with MSP, you will be responsible for:

With some guidance, design and develop the mechanical portions of high-tech instrumentation.

With guidance, evaluate potential solutions to engineering problems for feasibility, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness.

Review solutions with senior engineers and project managers when necessary.

Responsible for managing own work flow and developing a deeper understanding of product lines.

The scope of the work may consist of design, modification, experimentation and analysis that is moderately complex in nature.

Apply problem solving skills to analysis of new and unfamiliar engineering problems.

With guidance, integrate solutions into existing product lines.

Resolve integration issues and support field testing with customers.

Assist in scheduling, costing, and documentation of new product proposals.

Provide engineering support to manufacturing personnel to solve production problems and improve processes.

Support design changes by reviewing proposed changes, engineering drawings, documentation, and change control.

Responsible for providing strong documentation and specifications on project work.

Work cooperatively with other departments.

Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.

Other duties as assigned.

What Do You Need? Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

2–5 years of mechanical engineering experience with Bachelor’s Degree, 0-5 of experience with a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience in machined component designs with aluminum, stainless steel, and sheet metal.

Experience in chassis design and component layout

Mechanical engineering fundamentals

Engineering tools and software

Experimental methods

SOLIDWORKS CAD design tools

Desired

Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Product development experience on a project from the concept phase through the launch phase

Instrumentation development and testing experience

Lean Design, FMEA, DOE, DFM/DFA and Tolerance Analysis

Modeling and Simulation using Excel and Matlab, ANSYS mechanical, COMSOL Multiphysics, or other mechanical simulation software

Particle theory focused on droplet generation, transport and evaporation is a plus

Advanced heat transfer, filtration theory, fundamental of vacuum theory knowledge are all plusses

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $88,000 - $100,000 per year depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
