Job Description
Professional level sales position supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth through customer retention and expansion. Partners with the GM to manage team members. Requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, sourcing from various channels including special orders, FDO, and second sources. Must direct drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. This is a full-time position. Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives Support day-to-day supervision of team members Collaborate with GM on coaching and development Dispatch drivers to meet delivery standards Maintain commercial stocking programs Build and sustain a network of second source suppliers Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns Manage commercial credit accounts Partner with GM for driver coverage Success Factors
Friendly communication skills Parts locating and stocking ability Safety awareness Proficiency with inventory systems and store equipment Automotive parts and system knowledge Operating POS and parts lookup systems ASE P2 certification or equivalent Advanced solution and product recommendation skills Ability to source parts from multiple channels Advanced selling skills for commercial customers Organizational skills and multi-tasking ability Essential Job Skills
Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic skills Effective communication in English; Spanish a plus Ability to interpret safety, operating, and parts manuals Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully Basic math skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Strong organizational skills Understanding of commercial profitability and market opportunities Availability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends Prior Experience
Minimum 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability and team leadership experience are advantageous. Education
High school diploma or GED required. Certifications
ASE Certification preferred but not required. Physical Demands
Must be able to walk, stand, lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. Must have good vision and dexterity. Work Environment
Primarily inside, with occasional outside work exposed to weather and mechanical hazards. Moderate noise level. Additional Information
