Foundry Metallurgical Engineer - 115844 Onsite/Remote:

Onsite Position

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute metallurgical engineering tasks related to foundry processes

Analyze and specify process steps, equipment, and systems to improve foundry operations and material performance

Develop and implement feasibility testing for new metallurgical solutions and provide data to validate designs

Evaluate engineering standards and specifications for foundry materials and processes

Analyze and specify process steps, equipment, and systems to improve foundry efficiency and product integrity

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for material-related failures or deviations

Recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards

Identify and address inefficiencies in foundry processes using established change management protocols

Actively own Melt Process Manual, Risk Assessment and Control Plans to ensure process control and documentation

Participate in product development activities, analyzing customer needs and delivering metallurgical solutions

Oversee metallurgical lab operations to meet production deliverables and quality process control

Support knowledge sharing and system usage across engineering and manufacturing teams

Engage in continuous learning and professional development, including formal training and external accreditation

What Skills You Need

2 or more years of experience in metallurgical engineering

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

What Makes You Standout

Experience with ferrous and non-ferrous alloys

Strong understanding of casting processes and material behavior

Knowledge of foundry tooling, mold design, and process simulation software

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies

Understanding of industry standards and quality assurance practices

Project management experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
