HII Job Description Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. Essential Job Responsibilities Writes and/or edits business operations documents such as quality products, reports, performance documentation, and other quality and risk documentation. Writes and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate technical specifications and instructions to various audiences. Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals. Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts. Conducts quality review of materials. Translates complex data into user-friendly text for print and electronic publications such as technical journals, user/training manuals, Government proposals, websites, and podcasts. Gathers information through research, statistical reports, and interviews with technical staff. Develops cataloging systems; maintains records, files, and electronic media; and archives information for publications. Assists in preparing material for technical seminars and business forums. May assist in technical or business presentations in meetings as business or customer needs require. Selects or recommends use of layouts, graphics, drawings, tables, exhibits, illustrations, charts, or storyboards to amplify or clarify publications objectives. Minimum Qualifications 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience. Must possess an active Top Secret clearance.
