Construction Estimator – Hospital Projects

Job Summary
We are seeking a
detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator
to join our team. This role will focus on estimating costs for hospital construction projects, including
BJC, Wash U, and SLU hospitals . The ideal candidate will have
4-5 years of experience
in both
project management and estimating , ensuring accurate cost assessments, efficient project execution, and effective management of
change orders . While
Procore experience is not required , familiarity with construction estimating software is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for hospital construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project plans to develop accurate estimates.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to refine project scopes and budgets.
Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary data.
Maintain a database of cost-related information, including subcontractor quotes and material pricing.
Assist in bid preparation and submission, ensuring competitive and profitable proposals.
Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Prepare and manage change orders, ensuring accurate adjustments to project budgets and timelines.
Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and hospital construction standards.
Qualifications
4-5 years of experience in construction estimating and project management.
Strong understanding of hospital construction requirements and healthcare facility standards.
Proficiency in estimating software (Procore not required, but familiarity with other tools is beneficial).
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
