Mechanical Designer

Metalforms provides design, fabrication, testing and maintenance services as a leading provider of heat transfer solutions along the Gulf Coast Region. Metalforms was recently acquired by the TransTech Group, a provider of custom-engineered and fabricated solutions across multiple industries. Responsibilities
Perform design drafting duties and generate accurate drawings on projects with a focus on quality, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines. Follow mechanical design standards and customer specifications. Manage drawings in a data management software. Communicate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve design and fabrication problems. Collaborate with team members to create drawing standards to improve accuracy, standardization, and time efficiency. Qualifications
Previous design/drafting experience in equipment design. Previous experience using AutoCAD. Previous experience using Inventor or similar 3D design software. Experience using Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with Inventor, ProEngineer or SolidWorks (Preferred). Experience with data management software (Preferred). Experience reading, understanding, and following detailed customer specifications (Preferred). Experience working with heat exchangers and/or pressure vessels (Preferred). Working knowledge of API 663, API 660 & ASME Sect. VIII, Div. 1 (Preferred). Benefits
