General Summary
As a Functional Lead, you’ll work alongside Product Management to drive transformation by providing both functional and technical expertise, identifying modern technology solutions and industry‑leading practices. You’ll help shape and deploy the transformation roadmap, identify and quantify value drivers, and ensure we deliver effective, efficient solutions that scale.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Provide technical and process expertise; drive solution and process standardization.
Advise on design decisions and drive resolution with Product Owners.
Confirm process scope and required customizations with Product Owners.
Partner with Product Managers/Owners to identify and quantify value drivers.
Collaborate with Solution Architects and technical Product Owners; provide functional input into the Solution Roadmap and Architecture Runway.
Participate in and support Scrum teams in sprint planning, execution, documentation, and delivery of user stories.
Help teams segment, sequence, and prioritize work.
Drive development and testing of the technical solution.
Help address risks and clear impediments.
Provide guidance and guardrails to ensure the solution aligns to vision.
Encourage innovation and problem‑solving to address user concerns without customizations where possible.
Help teams identify test scope and verify end‑to‑end process coverage.
Drive defect resolution and clear roadblocks.
Collaborate with Functional and Development teams to ensure delivery of user stories within predefined sprints.
Work with Change Management on stakeholder engagement activities.
Help develop and execute a comprehensive cutover plan covering business & technical activities for the end‑to‑end solution.
Participate in Program Ceremonies, including PI Planning and backlog grooming.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor of Science, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of order management in Sales and Distribution and SAP project execution capabilities, including industry‑leading practices and technologies.
Minimum 8 years as a technology/functional consultant in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), Pricing & Contracts, and Logistics Execution.
Multi‑platform experience with strong knowledge of SAP SD capabilities and integrations with Finance, Logistics, Project System (PS)—including complex Engineered‑to‑Order (ETO)—and Supply Chain Management.
SAP S/4HANA hands‑on experience and/or Salesforce knowledge; capable of designing, building, and implementing solutions.
Demonstrated experience designing and developing integrations using SAP PI, SAP PO, SAP CPI, MuleSoft, etc.
Proven leadership in multiple complex ERP implementation projects.
Ability to provide configuration and analysis support for the SAP Variant Configuration (VC) module, understanding classes, characteristics, tables, dependencies, profiles, and super BOMs/Routings.
Experience with large‑scale implementations that require cross‑team solution design.
Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and Salesforce/SAP implementation methodology, including project management tools and techniques.
Understanding of Agile principles and frameworks (Scrum and/or Kanban); SAFe experience highly desired.
Strong planning, organization, communication, and negotiation skills.
Persuasive communicator able to articulate key considerations for process standardization.
Ability to manage large work efforts and coordinate distributed teams.
End‑to‑end understanding of business processes and solution design.
Proven experience with large business transformation programs leveraging SAP and Salesforce technologies.
Excellent skills in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and transparency.
