Engineer, Product II – MetalTek International
Product development engineer responsible for design, manufacturing, and continuous improvement of high‑quality metal castings for a diverse customer base including military, aerospace, and commercial applications.
Primary Responsibilities
Design casting and tooling using SolidWorks and ProCast; create work instructions, routings, and bills of materials for the shop floor.
Lead new product development from concept through initial production, order review, and continuous improvement of existing product lines.
Support additive manufacturing processes and coordinate machining vendors for wax tooling and other machining requirements.
Deliver excellent customer service internally and externally; streamline the product life cycle to reduce costs, enhance profitability, and satisfy customer needs.
Provide direction to internal and external support resources and occasionally perform hands‑on work to develop work instruction methods or move key projects forward.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial or related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal casting environment.
Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software; multiple years of experience with investment casting process, GD&T, casting simulation & modeling, and ERP/PLM software.
Experience with vacuum investment casting, additive manufacturing processes, and leadership skills are desirable.
Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
