Job Description Summary
The Facilities Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, and improving the site building and utility infrastructure. This role oversees the reliable operation, integration, modification, maintenance, and retirement of site utilities, ensuring efficient operation of general site functions and services. The engineer supports current project operations, including construction oversight, contractor management, and compliance with regulatory, corporate, and site requirements. This position will support both the RLT and Isotope facilities.

Job Responsibilities
Prioritize safety and adhere to all safety requirements at all times.
Possess strong knowledge of HVAC system design, operation, and maintenance.
Be familiar with air compressors, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, water systems, electrical equipment, generators, fire systems, and related systems.
Have working knowledge of automation systems and VFDs.
Use CMMS systems like BMRAM for work order management.
Ensure reliable, efficient, and sustained operation of the facility and utility equipment.
Develop and execute Preventive Maintenance plans.
Manage and execute PMs and corrective work orders.
Build relationships with external contractors and vendors.
Create SOPs for areas of responsibility.
Troubleshoot utility equipment failures and establish root causes.
Plan and implement corrective actions based on root cause analysis.
Support facility capital projects, including installation, commissioning, and turnover of new systems.
Lead site shutdowns and utility repairs through small projects.
Manage contractors for maintenance, repairs, and small projects.
Drive improvements in facility and utility KPIs.
Support other engineering and maintenance initiatives as needed.
Compensation
The starting pay range is $85,400 to $158,600 annually, with potential additional benefits such as bonuses, stock units, and comprehensive benefits. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of industrial experience (GMP biotech/biopharma preferred) with a degree; 5+ years without a degree.
Ability to develop contingency plans and work through complex issues.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Experience managing small capital projects ( Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
Energy management and EPA certification are advantageous.
Experience in GMP environments and familiarity with change controls, CAPAs, and deviations is preferred.
Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency with MS Office, Building Management Systems, and CMMS.
Customer service orientation, adaptability, self-motivation, and ownership attitude.
