As the Engineer I, Electrical Design, you will research and design components and electrical/electronic systems for Ditch Witch or Subsite branded products. Primary duties include design and selection of components related to electronic or electromechanical equipment. The employee will use ECAD software to create electronic schematics; direct the work of drafters/illustrators and technicians; work closely with various component suppliers; and perform other duties as assigned. What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: Collect and analyze technical information from a variety of sources, including

Conversations with engineers, product managers, suppliers, etc. Technical documents Operation of equipment Your own tests and experiments

Maintain design concepts for circuits and systems, involving analog and digital design techniques and interface sensors with microcontrollers. Design, implement, and test electrical circuits to demonstrate compliance with specifications. Prepare technical design and production documentation. Define measurement techniques, tuning procedures, and special test fixtures for production use. Develop Desktop (Windows and Linux) applications. Design for embedded Linux systems. Design for bare-metal embedded systems. Serve as an expert within the department for a design-related field and provide consulting to others on technical matters. Coordinate product sustaining activities with other personnel, including the flow of information and documentation to other departments. Evaluate feasibility and applicability of newer technologies and methods to existing products and designs. Meet or exceed typical expectations for creativity, productivity, quality, and safety. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. 0-2 years of experience in electrical engineering, testing environment. Programming, any language. Software: Linux, Python, C/C++ Great communication skills at all levels. Ability to prioritize and organize responsibilities. Results-driven and action-oriented; positive and energetic. Preferred Qualifications

PCB layout. Hardware design. Work Environment

Office environment most of the time with regular trips to the shop and outside of work. Shop and outdoor environments include physical hazards such as utilities (gas, electric, and water lines), powered vehicles, bicycles, pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, and moving machinery. Outdoor environment includes work in all kinds of weather while operating and demonstrating machinery and construction site conditions such as open excavations, unimproved land, uncompleted structures, etc. Working with hazardous materials, including fuels, lubricants, solvents, and batteries. Occasional overnight travel. Regular, continuous use of a personal computer. Fully onsite. What Can We Give You?

– The pay range reflects skills, experience, education, and location. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $66,900 - $83,600. Cash compensation is part of a broader total rewards package. You may be eligible to participate in an incentive program based on performance.
