and contribute to product safety and compliance. Job Responsibilities
Conduct on-site engineering evaluations to assist regulatory authorities in determining product compliance, leading to approval of installations. Perform documentation review, visual and mechanical inspections, and assess suitability according to relevant codes such as the National Electrical Code. Prepare engineering reports based on evaluations. Develop project scope, investigation plans, and specifications by analyzing client input and product data. Communicate with clients and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) to explain UL services, discuss technical issues, and negotiate project details. Represent UL at meetings, seminars, and trade shows, providing technical presentations. Manage complex code and regulatory projects, serving as Project Handler and Reviewer as assigned. Develop test requirements and methods for unique or complex products. Provide technical guidance and leadership on specialized projects involving complex or novel issues. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field from an ABET-accredited program. Expertise in Building Codes, NEC, and conformity standards. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including hazardous locations. Experience with electrical testing equipment and safety engineering concepts. Ability to handle complex projects and travel frequently, with proximity to an airport preferred. What We Offer
