Responsibilities:
Supervise plant quality functions; coordinate APQP activities; participate in APQP meetings; review the Production Tooling Progress Report.
Create and assist in implementing control plans, work/inspection instructions, local procedures, visual aids, and samples.
Prepare sample submissions for PPAP packages; supervise retention of PPAP samples.
Assist in maintaining TS-16949 certification and meeting customer quality requirements.
Maintain PPAP log in TBVC’s Quality portal; upload information and provide approval documentation.
Design, implement, and maintain programs to improve quality processes.
Interact with customers during APQP meetings, process sign-offs, and audits.
Communicate with customers via their systems; facilitate plant visits.
Act as Quality Department liaison with suppliers to investigate quality issues and provide resources.
Assist in problem-solving activities; implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Participate in team problem-solving activities (G.P.S.).
Develop and execute corrective actions (8-D) for quality and delivery issues; verify effectiveness.
Maintain Customer Complaint log; upload corrective actions into the system.
Complete all related records and reports.
Apply statistical analysis to manufacturing processes.
Assist in preparing presentations, including charts, graphs, and documentation.
Perform dimensional layouts using lab equipment.
Ensure final part quality; shut down processes producing discrepant material if necessary.
Represent customer needs when the Quality Manager is unavailable.
Oversee the Firewall/Reinspect area with the Trim Lead; ensure weekly I-charts updates.
Assist in dimensional and mechanical inspections to ensure standards are met.
Create programs and operate CMM; install and align tools and fixtures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field.
1-3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient computer skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills; ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
