Supplier Quality Engineer
to join our team. You will report to the
Supplier Quality Manager
and work onsite in
Chatsworth, CA . Minimum Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CQM) or 7+ years of relevant aerospace QA/QE experience Knowledge of FAA CFR 14 Part 21 Certification Procedures Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001 standards Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection, DISCUS/Net Inspect Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, 8D, DMAIC Knowledge of Sigma, Lean, SPC, Pareto, DPMO/PPM Mechanical inspection techniques, CMM application Drawing reading, GD&T, SolidWorks/CATIA Microsoft Office proficiency Preferred: IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 certification, Six Sigma Black Belt Responsibilities:
Maintain high ethical standards in line with company and ASQ codes Apply strategic thinking to Quality Management Systems and product quality Review customer contracts, purchase orders, and quality flowdowns Lead and communicate quality activities across departments Manage supplier list, evaluations, and approvals Handle supplier change requests and quality procedures Maintain supplier portal, performance metrics, and scorecards Develop strategies with Supply Chain, Engineering, and QA for risk management and quality improvements Conduct supplier audits and assessments Manage nonconformances, MRB, and corrective actions Lead training and mentorship for junior engineers Perform additional tasks as assigned Benefits:
