The purpose of the Student Engagement Officer role is to strengthen the relationship between Morehouse College and its alumni, donors, and friends by fostering meaningful, personal connections through outreach. Student Engagement Officers serve as ambassadors for the College, sharing updates, promoting events, and encouraging financial support for institutional priorities. By engaging in thoughtful conversations, gathering valuable feedback, and promoting a culture of philanthropy, Student Engagement Officers help ensure the continued success and legacy of Morehouse. Responsibilities and Duties

Serve as an ambassador by establishing an open and engaging line of communication between Morehouse and its alumni, donors, and friends Participate in calling activities during designated shifts, during which time you will make phone calls, texts, and emails to alumni, donors and friends to update and share information and solicit gifts Share your Morehouse experience and learn more about the alumni, donors, and friends Communicate goals and updates to alumni as provided by Annual Giving Record pertinent information to be shared with appropriate staff members Gather information on alumni interests and questions for the college Garner excitement and support for major events (i.e. Founders Day, Homecoming, etc.) Assist Annual Giving with creating the culture of philanthropy with students, faculty and staff, and parents Volunteer (unpaid) in one campus event or donor visit each semester Assist with administrative functions such as data cleanup and other duties as assigned Required Qualifications

2.8 GPA Full-time student in good academic standing Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education/Experience Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable speaking on the phone and engaging with alumni, donors, and friends of the College Dependable, punctual, and able to work assigned evening shifts Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record information Enthusiastic about Morehouse College and willing to share personal experiences Prior customer service or fundraising experience is a plus, but not required Physical Demands
