Role Summary As a US Equities Portfolio Program Analyst you will primarily support senior portfolio managers on the analysis and execution of US Equity Investment strategies. This position presents a unique opportunity to learn about the portfolio management process by assisting in the daily implementation of a portfolio strategy. The role provides the analyst/associate with exposure to JP Morgan Asset Management’s products and investment professionals within US Equity.
Job Responsibilities
Portfolio Implementation – Assist the portfolio manager in implementing buy/sell decisions by sending down orders in equities, futures, and treasuries, monitoring cash flows among various accounts, communicating with trading teams, and monitoring futures hedging.
Portfolio Monitoring – Keep abreast of portfolio positioning, market news, and trades, analyze/reconcile position discrepancies, monitor account guidelines and restrictions, and participate in investment performance reviews.
Ad‑hoc Projects – Work with various individuals and groups on projects related to portfolio management, including research initiatives, stock fundamentals and valuation, complex account transitions, and transaction cost analysis.
Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or equivalent.
1‑2+ years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of JP Morgan Asset Management’s products and services.
Strong understanding of the financial services industry.
Knowledge of market data services.
Strong analytical skills and high aptitude for numbers.
Ability to identify trends through numerical analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Bloomberg is helpful.
Coding experience with VBA is preferred.
