Job Title FREIGHT FORWARDING OPERATIONS – Logistics Co-Ordinator M/F

Working Hours Full time

Mission Description Responsible for overseeing and facilitating the efficient movement of goods, materials, and supplies within a company or between suppliers and customers. Their main goal is to ensure that deliveries are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

Plan and track shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and customers for smooth logistics operations.

Monitor inventory levels and arrange stock replenishment when needed.

Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.

Handle documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs clearance.

Resolve any logistics issues, delays, or discrepancies efficiently.

Optimize transport routes and cost-saving initiatives.

Use logistics software to manage and streamline operations.

Communicate with internal teams to align logistics with business needs.

Manage the Reach Stacker Driver and Forklift Driver – ensure that daily inspection reports are complete and filed.

Maintenance of the Reach Stacker and Forklift (services and overall condition to be maintained).

Qualifications

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel / Word / In house programs).

Seafreight experience gained in a clearing & forwarding environment

Planning skills

Participate in programs and assessments to improve IMS system in the workplace.
