GE Aerospace . Job Description Summary Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment. Roles and Responsibilities Manage master planning, material processes and systems; prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and drive process improvements. Typically a 1st line manager of professionals or a 2nd line manager of a professional department. Develop specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serve as a best-practice/quality resource. Maintain awareness of the latest technical developments in their area. Contribute to strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility. Have in-depth knowledge of how own area integrates with others; understand competition and market differentiators. Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks related to operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Apply data analysis to support recommendations using multiple internal and limited external sources. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explain difficult or sensitive information; work to build consensus. Develop persuasion skills to influence others in the field. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college plus a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing master planning, material processes and systems, and producing/updating production schedules and purchasing needs. Desired Characteristics Master's Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in managing master planning, material processes and systems, and producing/updating production schedules and purchasing needs). Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to lead programs/projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills. Humble, transparent, focused, and leadership-oriented with collaborative mindset. Problem solver: analytical, able to challenge existing processes and think critically.
