The Meadowbrook School of Weston is a junior kindergarten through 8th grade school located in Weston, MA, just seven miles west of Boston. We are looking for a dedicated Senior Facilities Manager to join our community. This full‑time, year‑round, exempt position offers an annual salary ranging from $75 k to $85 k.
Reporting to the Director of Facilities, you will be a central member of the facilities team. In addition to routine maintenance, you will serve as the main point of contact for the team, vendors and contractors and supervise two full‑time Facilities Technicians. When the Director is absent, you will lead the department, exercising sound judgment and discretion in daily operations and staff management.

Responsibilities Supervisory & Administrative Directly supervise two full‑time Facilities Technicians, setting priorities and managing daily workflow. Mentor and train junior staff; conduct annual performance reviews and set growth goals. Make hiring, firing, promotion and other status decisions for direct reports. Implement and interpret operational policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Contractor, Vendor, and Financial Management Point of contact for external services, overseeing vendor performance. Assist in selecting, negotiating and approving new contractor agreements. Manage expenditures, approve invoices and oversee purchase orders for supplies and equipment. Collaborate with the Director in developing the capital and operating budgets.
Operations and Technical Leadership Perform all routine maintenance tasks for campus buildings and grounds. Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, air handling units and provide technical training to staff. Conduct preventive HVAC maintenance (filter changes, coil cleaning, refrigerant checks). Monitor building management systems for comfort and efficiency. Repair advanced electrical issues, plumbing, fire alarm and security systems. Maintain safety procedures and engage vendors on complex technical problems. Perform preventive maintenance as needed.
Safety and Campus Services Act as the main contact for all maintenance requests. Oversee event setup and teardown, deliveries, storage, snow removal, grounds maintenance and sports field support. Supervise parking and campus traffic, control access, lock doors and windows after hours. Patrol grounds, buildings and parking while on duty, reporting suspicious activity. Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Personal Attributes High School Diploma or GED required. Five to seven or more years of maintenance experience preferred. HVAC, plumbing or electrical certifications preferred. Drivers license required. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and manage competing priorities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Dependable scheduling and reliable work rules compliance. Respectful and inclusive of all individuals regardless of background. CPR and First Aid certification required. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb, standing or sitting for extended periods, climbing stairs and ladders, and working outdoors in all weather.
