Fairview Health Services . Job Overview: Fairview is looking for an Associate Chaplain to join our team. Responsibilities
Provides direct spiritual care for patients and families based on assessment of spiritual needs in clinical assignment and during assigned on-call shifts. Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served, including spiritual/religious informed care or service. Exercises skillful listening, compassionate presence & clear communication in one-on-one, small group, care conferences, and team meetings. Provides/arranges for provision of sacraments/rituals/prayers and integrative modalities at the request of patients and/or family members in a manner aligning with the traditions of the patient, family member, or significant other. Orients and mentors CPE interns and residents as a preceptor during their CPE unit start up. Provides evaluative feedback as part of the clinical coordinator role within the educational process. Provide spiritual support for health care staff. Required Qualifications
Graduate degree in Theology from an approved theological seminary/university, or completion of training in a mentored religious tradition as defined by that tradition. Four or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) accredited by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). Reliable transportation. Knowledge of computer applications to perform job duties (electronic charting, etc.). Ability to work weekend on-call rotation as scheduled. Driver’s license: valid Minnesota license (or license that matches your current permanent residence). Current and adequate automobile insurance policy. Benefits & Compensation
