Overview
This full‑time position at Lancaster Laboratories focuses on maintaining laboratory instruments and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and basic operations on lab equipment such as Beckman Coulter ViCell XR, Nova Flex, Siemens RAPIDPoint 500e, Advanced Instruments OsmoTECH Pro, Cedex Bio HT, AMBR15, and AMBR250.
Calibrate pH and dissolved oxygen probes and maintain bioreactor components.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
Manage consumables, chemical inventory, and instrument induction, coordinating with site services and vendors.
Coordinate lab cleaning activities for freezers, walk‑in cold rooms, and biosafety cabinets.
Create and update best‑practice documentation for lab equipment and procedural activities.
Assist in preparing cell‑culture media, autoclaving equipment, and maintaining incubators.
Coordinate instrument induction, connectivity, maintenance, services, and contracts.
Provide periodic laboratory updates through email, reports, and presentations.
Identify and implement efficiency improvements in lab workflows.
Schedule lab equipment usage via asset‑management system and communicate with support teams.
Manage short‑term raw‑material inventory and remove expired items.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience with a BS degree in a relevant scientific discipline (or 0+ years with an MS degree).
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Preferred Skills
Experience in lab inventory management and vendor interactions.
Routine maintenance and calibrations of bioprocessing analytical equipment.
Cell passaging in shake flasks, media preparation, and bench‑scale bioreactor building.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
