Overview
I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of 1 Business Analyst 3 Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates sstems to parallel overall business strategies. Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective. Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Min 5 years of experience, served as a liaison between the Business community and Customer IT Teams (i.e., Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain, etc.). Strong experience as a Data Analyst in analyzing raw data, and as a Business Analyst in requirements gathering, understanding technology, and any project management experience with PMP are a huge plus. II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity. Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Extensive experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating 8 Required Thorough understanding of the business analysis areas of 8 Required Experience participating in software development reviews and providing advice and assistance to other team members in analysis, design, and test. 8 Required Experience performing or participating in unit testing, support system testing and user acceptance testing. 8 Required Extensive skill in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without compromising accuracy. 8 Required Thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies. 8 Required Extensive skill in effective verbal and written communications with both IT and business professionals and clients. 8 Preferred Experience with the implementation of case management systems. 8 Preferred Experience with Jira project management software. B) The primary work location will be 701 W. 51st, Austin, Texas 78751. Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Tues) required to be onsite at the location listed above. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius). **Subject to change per the hiring team** Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas.
