Aircraft Assemblers/Overhaul Technicians
Location: Carson, CA Pay Range: $21.50 per hour, possibly higher. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Position Type: Contract-to-Hire (6+ months to Hire) About the Role
Akkodis is seeking Aircraft Assemblers/Overhaul Technicians for a Contract-to-Hire position with a direct client in Carson, CA. The role involves maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with current technical data, and inspections per FAA-approved data and procedures. Responsibilities
Performs maintenance and alteration tasks on manufactured products in accordance with approved documentation. Utilizes assembly tools, equipment, and mechanical and visual aids applicable to the scope of work assigned. Understands the methods, techniques and practices outlined in the manufacturer\'s maintenance documents, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, service letters, specifications, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA. Applies and handles sealants and adhesives. Keeps assigned areas organized and clean. Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in FAA Drug and Alcohol Program. Conducts routine tasks as directed. Required Skills
Education:
High School Diploma Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of experience in aircraft assembly, maintenance or repair. Computer Skills:
Basic knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience using an ERP System preferred. Other Skills:
Must possess basic math skills and be able to comprehend varying units of measure; ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks; basic understanding of manufacturing processes; ability to read and comprehend written and process specification documents; computer skills to access CMMs, drawings, etc.; FAA required training; effective oral and written communications; demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects with attention to detail; problem solving, well organized, detail oriented and accurate.
