Description CONTINGENT UPON GOVERNMENT FUNDING Job Title: Logistician We are seeking an employee with excellent communications skills, a team player with independent initiative to solve problems, complete administrative work, and a willingness to learn.

This employee will not be traveling for installs or performing the work. Position Summary Shipboard Systems Specialist provides integrated logistics support (ILS) for U.S. Navy shipboard installations, alterations, and modernization efforts. This role focuses on scheduling, configuration control, and compliance with naval standards, including the review and implementation of Ship Change Documents (SCDs) in accordance with the NAVSEA Navy Modernization Process requirements. The incumbent will collaborate with program managers, engineering, fleet, and contractor teams to support the lifecycle of shipboard systems. Key Responsibilities Serve as a central point of contact for logistics and shipboard integration actions related to Alteration Installation Team Navy Modernization Process compliance for scheduling shipboard Air Traffic Control and Landing System equipment upgrades. Review, analyze, and interpret Ship Change Documents (SCDs) to assess impacts on ship configurations, cost-benefit analyses, and logistics requirements for alterations on various ship classes (e.g., DDGs, LHA, LHD,CVN, etc.). Coordinate logistics planning for shipboard equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications, including the planning requirements for Installation Control Drawings (ICDs), Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs), and Liaison Action Requests (LARs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, program managers, and contractors, to execute logistics functions within established policies and procedures. Support audits and reviews of logistics processes to identify improvements and reduce risks in shipboard environments. Requirements Required Qualifications and Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Logistician - CPL) are preferred. (not sure this needs to be this specific) Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail in reviewing documentation. Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel for inventory tracking). Excellent communication skills for interfacing with military personnel, contractors, and stakeholders.

Other Requirements:

U.S. citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Organic Lead System Integrator (OLSI) efforts or Navy modernization programs. Knowledge of additional naval processes, such as Cost Benefit Analysis for SCDs or ILS for air traffic control and combat systems. Prior service in the U.S. Navy or experience as a Logistics Specialist (LS) rating.

Minimum of 5-8 years in logistics or integrated logistics support roles, with at least 3 years specifically in US Navy shipboard installations and alterations. Demonstrated experience working with US Navy shipboard fleet systems, equipment, and configuration management processes. Proven expertise in reading, interpreting, and applying Ship Change Documents (SCDs) for naval vessel modifications. Familiarity with naval databases and tools, such as Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) or similar systems.
