Senior Production Test Technician CAES by Honeywell is seeking a senior production test technician to work at our San Jose, CA facility. The role focuses on microwave circuit alignment and subsystem testing to meet shipping schedules and support production activities for advanced microwave subsystems used in missile front ends, radar receivers, wideband tuners and synthesized sources.

Overview Key responsibilities include RF circuit alignment, circuit card testing and troubleshooting, subsystem product alignment and testing, documenting test data, and providing feedback to manufacturing engineers on production products.

Responsibilities

Test and troubleshoot microwave subsystems and circuit card assemblies in a production environment.

Perform RF tuning, troubleshooting and testing on multi‑function thin film microwave integrated circuits (MICs).

Follow production documentation and processes, keeping detailed records of testing and rework performed.

Participate in daily production meetings and interface regularly with manufacturing engineers.

Qualifications

Associates Degree in Electronics, trade school or technical education and 5+ years experience OR 8+ years work experience in lieu of an Associate Degree.

Familiarity with microwave test equipment: network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, power meters and DVMs.

Good manual dexterity and experience/willingness to work using a microscope and small hand‑tools.

Good written and verbal skills and ability to carefully follow written instructions.

Computer skills: file manipulation, organization, accessing and launching programs, and basic Microsoft Excel.

Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.

Eligibility to work in the United States under U.S. export laws (U.S. Person or approved under U.S. Government export license).

Preferred

Associates Degree in Electronics, trade school or technical education and 8+ years experience OR 12+ years work experience in lieu of an Associate Degree.

Prior lead role experience.

Proficient with microwave test equipment: network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, power meters and DVMs.

Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to carefully follow written instructions.

Hourly Range Level IV – $38.50 – $45.00 Level V – $45.50 – $53.00. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
