North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) is a private, non-profit agency contracted with the State of California, Department of Developmental Services, to provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. NLACRC serves the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, and Antelope Valley since 1974, spanning across the lifespan from infants to aging adults. Base pay and compensation

This position has a base pay range of $29.49/hr - $41.66/hr. The actual offered amount will depend on degree, education, experience, and other relevant factors. Regular salary is $29.49 - $41.66 per hour, plus a bilingual services premium of $69.24 per bi-weekly pay period. Supervision

The following examples illustrate the types of duties that may be performed. Additional duties may be added. Initiates and responds to communications with consumers, families, service providers, and outside agencies on topics including service eligibility, regional center service standards, regional center methods, generic agency programs, and problem resolution. Provides information through telephone and electronic mail. Conducts individual program planning, including annual and quarterly review meetings, in collaboration with consumers and, where appropriate, families and service providers, and completes corresponding reports. Conducts individual family service planning, including initial, semi-annual, annual, transition and periodic reviews, with consumers and parents, foster parents, and guardians. Generates referrals and Purchase of Service Authorizations, changes in Authorizations and Purchase of Service Terminations, as needed. Provides advocacy assistance as needed. Provides information regarding available resources and services to consumers, families, and care providers. Documents all case management activity in the consumer’s interdisciplinary notes per Title 19 and maintains case management documents in the consumer record. Maintains Community Resource Database and reviews Incoming and Outgoing Case Transfers and Notices of Actions. Train and mentor new staff; participate in Diversity and Inclusion Projects, Community Outreach, Statewide Placements, and Special Projects/Committees. Provide backup to the Officer of the Day duties and support Early Start non-walk-ins from the Antelope Valley as needed. Employment Standards

Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, human development, sociology, public health nursing or a related field, with two years of Regional Center experience as a service coordinator preferred. A Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred. Skills and Abilities

Assessment, program planning, customer service, strong organization and paperwork management, strong verbal and written communication, ability to communicate complex material, and computer skills. Must work effectively with people from diverse cultures. Essential Requirements

Frequent telephone and out-of-office meetings required. Valid CDL and reliable transportation, or an acceptable substitute, are required. Bilingual Spanish may be required dependent upon position. Benefits
