Pre-Admit Testing: RNII FT Days at Trinity Health (St. Peter's Hospital) — Full time, Day Shift What You Will Do
While working in Pre-Admitting testing, you will have the opportunity to work with patients in their pre-surgical experience prior to the day of surgery. The job involves patient assessment, coordination of needed services prior to surgery, and pre-op teaching for all types of surgery. This role also includes medical review of charts and resolution of any diagnostic test issues prior to surgery. Employees interface with physicians, their office staff and the anesthesia department daily. St. Peters 13 surgical services include General, Thoracic, Cardiac, Genito-Urinary, Pediatric, Maxillofacial, Orthopedic, Plastic, Neurological, Anesthesia, Gynecological, Otolaryngological, Ophthalmological and Vascular procedures. Position Highlights
Nurses working in Pre-Admission testing receive comprehensive orientation developed by clinical nurse specialists in surgical nursing, on-site BLS classes, and ongoing clinical education. The staff is involved in quality improvement activities, program development, recognition activities, and team building. The clinical ladder program provides opportunities for professional growth through mentoring, leadership opportunities, and educational funding. Minimum Requirements
Current NYS RN license ASN, BSN preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in ACUTE care nursing. Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg experience preferred About Us
