Overview
Lead with craftsmanship as a Masonry Foreman at David Bontrager Masonry Inc. Location: Greater D.C Area. Salary: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour + performance bonus (annual).
David Bontrager Masonry Inc. is seeking an experienced Masonry Foreman to lead field crews on high-profile commercial projects. The role requires a skilled leader who can balance productivity, quality, and safety while fostering teamwork within the crew and across trades. The ideal candidate is proficient in all types of commercial masonry, able to read and interpret construction plans, and committed to maintaining crew morale and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise masonry crews on commercial construction projects. Ensure all masonry work meets project specifications, schedules, and quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans to direct work activities. Coordinate effectively with general contractors, project managers, and other trades. Monitor daily productivity, morale, and crew performance. Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols, conducting regular safety checks. Track materials, tools, and equipment to maintain efficient workflows. Train, mentor, and support crew members to build skills and encourage growth. Provide accurate daily reports on crew progress and project status. Qualifications
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commercial masonry construction. Proven leadership skills in managing crews and maintaining morale and productivity. Strong ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with contractors and trades. OSHA 30 certification preferred. Commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork. No formal education requirement – experience and skillset take priority. Opportunities for prevailing wage projects. Benefits
