Overview

Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of David’s Bridal and report to the Store Manager. They exemplify friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise and provide superior customer service. This role is a part-time position with opportunities to contribute to a team-focused, customer-service driven environment. Responsibilities

Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person; communicate clearly and concisely, adapting style to suit customers by problem solving, using excellent phone skills and resolving conflict. Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver a five-star customer experience. Maintain service levels by being prepared, welcoming, meeting needs, and supporting customers’ emotional and practical needs; complete operational checklist tasks. Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously and contribute to the store’s Five-Star Customer Service. Proactively address customer concerns with confidence; escalate to and partner with leadership when appropriate. Communicate how alterations contribute to perfecting dresses for events; promote all alteration services and personalization options. Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization. Maintain store standards and a flawless shopping experience; comply with Dress Code Policy. Greet and escort alterations customers to and from appointments; inspect garments altered/steamed/pressed for pristine condition before delivery. Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information. Build long-term relationships with customers to meet and exceed satisfaction and loyalty objectives. Maintain inventory management by processing special orders and ensuring first-quality standards for all merchandise. Ensure alteration pricing aligns with company standards; manage all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing and spot cleaning of garments to standard. Resolve customer service issues swiftly in line with company guidelines; support all cash-wrap processes and transactions accurately. Keep alterations room clean and well-organized; perform duties as assigned by store management. Education & Credentials

High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of retail experience in apparel or a specialty store Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production Experience with computerized POS is a plus Part-Time Benefits Include
