About This Role We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong communication skills and solid fiscal management skills. This position is for a professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in Project Management, who develops project plans and budgets. Identifies project problems, recommends solutions, documents project delays, performs critical path analyses, and presents progress reports. Improves direct communications with customers and field team members. Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for managing the installation of commercial HVAC equipment within various vertical markets, positively representing the company in all client and architect/engineer interactions Work with end-users, sales staff, and prime contractors to ensure a clear understanding of project scope and deliverables Oversee and communicate project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation Develop a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets. Conduct Work in Progress meetings Develop working knowledge with Building Automation Systems (BAS) systems; Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plus Understand and follow all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications Convey a sense of professionalism, fairness, and concern for customers, labor, and management Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors Accurately forecast revenue each month by reviewing each project to estimate the value of work completed Execute all major functions required for project management, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out Manage the Change Order process, assuring that scope creep does not occur Ensure that all projects are managed to or exceed the booked project margin Ensure safety is prioritized on every project Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in project management 2+ years project management in mechanical installation 2+ years reading blueprints, structural drawings and understanding complex building architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents Preferred Qualifications
Experience and/or certification in BACnet; or LEED certification PMP certification or working towards PMP Certification Associates Degree in electrical engineering or project management Ability to multi-task and prioritize among assignments with strong adherence to deadlines Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers EEO Notice Carrier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
