Responsibilities
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for one or more categories or sub-categories. Key duties include: Implement and drive category strategy, targets and KPIs Secure a category supplier base that supports current and future business needs (BU & PU) Steer business awards to ASL suppliers, manage risk, cost and demands, and ensure quality and compliance Lead category management, strategy direction and value creation to deliver stakeholder and business satisfaction Conduct spend control and market analyses to drive cost reduction and value creation Ensure efficient management of suppliers in accordance with the Supplier Relationship Management framework and supplier segmentation Manage supplier partnerships and supplier agreements; maintain overall commercial relationship with suppliers Strengthen Permobil’s competitive position by maximizing supplier value and mitigating business risks Evaluate, qualify and select suppliers for external purchases and licensing of products and services
Qualifications
Your Background Education Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, business or economics and/or equivalent work experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain or similar positions Professional education through accrediting organizations and/or equivalent work experience in: Certified purchaser Legal awareness Business negotiation Supplier evaluation/auditing and supplier development Lean production Supply chain management and logistics Quality systems and control Supplier relationship management Risk management Category management End-to-end supply chain knowledge Business analysis (cost drivers and cost breakdown) Negotiation and contract management (including agreement writing) Lean concepts and production Engineering/technical understanding including quality, logistics and production engineering IS/IT system knowledge Other qualifications or experiences Please apply via our career page.
