Overview
The Materials Coordination Supervisor’s primary function is management of inventory. The Materials Coordination Supervisor manages the acquisition, reception, evaluation, storage, and distribution of goods identified as necessary to the Project. Provides exceptional leadership and direction through coaching, mentorship, supervision and development of personnel with a focus on a safe and inclusive environment. Responsibilities
Independently performs functions at project operating locations associated with all aspects of field material management: this ranges from managing bulk consumable orders to project specific specialty items / material reconciliation and order entry / receipt, storage, delivery and issuance of materials. Works with suppliers, procurement staff, clients, managers, Site Leadership of all disciplines, and other departments to resolve problems in a timely manner and be proactive to help keep project operating. Identify and resolve material problems in a timely manner to avoid schedule delays and cost impact. Set up Materials Management System. Prepare, maintain and verify accuracy of data entered into software-based inventory management system. Supervise/Coordinate Warehouse Technicians: Provide daily work plan for two onsite Warehouse Technicians. Ensure technicians are qualified and capable of safely performing assigned work. Participates and is responsible for hiring, evaluation, commendation, training, disciplinary action and dismissals of supervised staff. Procurement/Receiving: Track and manage deliveries from procurement requisitions. Receiving materials at site or in satellite locations. Liaise with Project Manager/Superintendent and Project Controls group regarding inventory status and scheduled deliveries/FATs, etc. Local supply and personnel pick-ups and deliveries, where applicable. Ensure materials are inspected, received, handled, and stored according to manufacturer recommendations. Meets with vendors and staff to discuss unacceptable and defective products and establish corrective action. If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles. Must possess a current Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record. Responsible to keep work areas safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments. Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform their duties in a safe and efficient manner. Comply with daily, weekly and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures. Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information. Comply with and ensure compliance with Redpath’s Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Able to work in excess of 40 hours a week, overtime, day shift, weekends, holidays and shift rotations. Compliance with Redpath Core Competencies is an essential duty and responsibility.
