Position Overview
As the RN Weekend Supervisor, you will serve as a leader during the overnight shift, supporting the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). You will oversee the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and provide guidance to nursing staff to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, support, and evaluate nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, and CNAs). Assist DON/ADON in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services. Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations. Participate in facility surveys, inspections, and Quality Assurance meetings. Monitor and assess residents, providing interventions for changes in condition. Oversee care planning, documentation, and MDS completion. Conduct daily rounds to monitor staff performance and resident care. Handle complaints, grievances, and incident investigations. Support staffing decisions to ensure proper coverage and continuity of care. Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years as a nursing supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related setting; at least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing practices. Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of New Jersey. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
