Overview
Geneticist – Physician Opportunity at Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH). Position based at Joseph M. Sanzari Children\'s Hospital, Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, New Jersey. HMH is seeking board certified or board eligible geneticists to join a multidisciplinary team in a program that serves patients of all ages and is one of the largest and most advanced of its kind in the state. HMH provides support through licensed genetic counselors and a network of hospitals; the organization serves as a referral screening center for the New Jersey newborn screening program and offers a comprehensive metabolic program. Join a dynamic network of physicians, genetic counselors, dietitian, and support staff with collaboration and mentorship and strong clinical support Collaborate with a statewide network of specialists Be part of the #1 Children\'s Hospital in New Jersey Eligibility for faculty appointment to the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine Opportunity to conduct clinical research Schedule: Monday through Friday with call split evenly across providers Responsibilities
Provide genetic medicine services to patients across all ages within the Hackensack Meridian Health network Collaborate with genetic counselors and other specialists; participate in education and multidisciplinary care Contribute to clinical research initiatives as applicable Qualifications
M.D. or D.O. degree from a recognized medical or osteopathic school Board certification or eligibility in the appropriate genetic specialty (BC/BE) Ability to obtain a New Jersey Medical License (or current license) Employment Details
Employment Type: Full-time with benefits Location: Hackensack, New Jersey Compensation: Minimum starting salary $172,301 annually (base). The final compensation is discussed during the interview process and is based on factors including experience and market data. Application Process
