Clay Consulting, LLC seeks an experienced
Nurse Practitioner
or
Physician Assistant
to perform one-time, in-person Veteran Medical Examinations as a VA subcontractor.
Overview As a medical disability examiner you evaluate and diagnose general medical conditions to support a veteran’s disability claim. You gather clinical evidence from medical and military record review, interviews, and face-to-face examinations, develop a medical opinion of the likelihood that the veteran’s condition is related to military service, and prepare unbiased documentation. Prescriptive authority and treatment plans are not within your scope.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides Compensation & Pension services to veterans, including health histories, assessments, and diagnostic testing.
Utilizes assessment and evaluation to render medical diagnoses and opinions.
Prepares timely, unbiased, and complete documentation of all veteran care.
Applies safety principles and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Exhibits courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with veterans, families, and healthcare professionals.
Adjusts to fluctuating volume while maintaining quality, timeliness, and customer service.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
Board Certification.
An active and unrestricted NP/PA license in the state in which exams are performed.
2+ years of minimum experience as NP/PA.
