Kernodle Clinic is a multi-specialty practice with approximately 100 Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers located just off I-40/I-85. Burlington is accessible as a day trip to NC mountains and beaches. Ample recreational activities, shopping, and easy access to metros (Greensboro, Raleigh and Durham) are unique to Burlington. We are currently looking for a patient-focused individual to fill a Physician Assistant position within our Cardiology Department. While experience is preferred, we welcome new graduates as well. All candidates must have graduated from an accredited PA program and hold a current licensure/certification to practice as a PA. They must also demonstrate the ability to exercise the highest degree of professional judgment under the supervision of a licensed physician. BLS certification is required for this position. Job Type: Full-time Responsibilities

When providing direct patient care, including patient related telephone conversations, uses double identifiers to ensure right patient every time. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physician in diagnosing medical and surgical problems and prescribing necessary treatment and services for quality patient care; record the normal and abnormal data for review by the physician. Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record the data in the patient\'s record in EPIC; write progress notes; prepare patient workups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings. Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient. Carry out therapeutic procedures such as wound suturing and dressing changes; monitor progress of patients, report progress to supervising physician, and maintain record of each patient\'s progress. Goes to Alamance Regional Medical Center to do hospital consultations. Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited PA program with current licensure/certification to practice as a PA. BLS certification required. Ability to exercise the highest degree of professional judgment under supervision of a licensed physician. Experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
