Kalispell is located in the heart of the Flathead Valley with access to outdoor recreation, nearby Glacier National Park, lakes, ski resorts, and hiking trails. What you’ll be doing

Screening gynecologic specimens using ThinPrep technology; releasing normal results and referring abnormal findings to a pathologist. Preparing, screening, and evaluating a variety of non-gynecologic specimens (e.g., FNAs, urines, CSF, effusions, brushings, smears) and providing preliminary interpretations. Assisting with on-site Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) procedures; evaluating specimen adequacy in real time alongside pathologists. Performing manual and automated staining techniques and preparing specimens for optimal cytologic evaluation. Conducting preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of cytology equipment, including ThinPrep systems. Maintaining a clean, safe work environment and adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Performing quality control checks and participating in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives. Accurately entering results and reports into the Meditech system; ensuring compliance with Bethesda reporting standards and regulatory requirements. Supporting ongoing updates to cytology policies, procedures, and departmental statistics. Collaborating with the CytoPrep Tech and broader lab team to maintain efficient workflow and high-quality specimen processing. Qualifications

Montana Clinical Laboratory Specialist (CSP) license required (or obtained before hire date) CT (ASCP) Cytotechnologist certification required Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Cytotechnology internship program Strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and a team-oriented approach. Full-time, 40 hours per week (8 hour day shifts). Shifts are generally Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. *This position may also assist in occasional evening shifts, holidays and weekend coverage. Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
