Job Summary: The Interventional Vascular Specialist I provides quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional vascular procedures in the interventional vascular suite and hybrid operating room. Responsibilities
Understands and works with x-ray system, including panning table and recognizing different angles. Manages access site including proper removal of sheath, assessment of hematoma and knowledge of hematoma management. Understands concepts of radiation safety. Able to communicate effectively with team, patients, families and medical staff. Assists in scrub role for basic Interventional vascular procedures such as fistulagrams, central line placement, abdominal-aortal arteriograms with run-off, stent placement, angioplasty. Able to circulate, monitor and perform post procedure filming of cases. Knowledgeable in vascular anatomy and recognizing different types of lesions. Basic knowledge of supply features and applications to procedure. Knowledge and adherence to sterile technique. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of accredited school of radiologic OR cardiovascular technology. Certifications/Licensure: Registered as an ARRT or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) prior to employment is preferred or within 24 months of employment as a condition of continued employment.
