The candidate will hold a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty appointment within the Instructional Faculty Series (rank determined by qualifications and experience).
Responsibilities
Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of course outcomes in the curriculum and support the learning environment.
Provide education through learner-centered instruction to prepare graduates for evolving patient needs and workforce demands.
Foster a culture of learning valuing mutual responsibility, lifelong learning, diversity, ethics, and professional development.
Promote the stature of the academic programs and the College, in alignment with university mandates.
Suggest and accept teaching assignments within the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program as determined by leadership.
Participate in course, curricular, and program revisions/development as assigned.
Introduce students to skills for a progressive teaching/learning environment with innovative competency development strategies.
Evaluate student application of knowledge.
Demonstrate basic skills in operating educational technology tools.
Promote accountability with clear guidelines for preparation, engagement, and self-directed study/practice.
Serve on divisional, college, and university committees; collaborate in inter-professional teaching and scholarship.
Administrative responsibilities for the AGNP Program, including securing clinical placements for graduate students; didactic and clinical teaching in classroom, online, or blended formats; supervision of clinical conferences and site communication with preceptors.
Work Location Hybrid (primary location Anschutz Medical Campus, Aurora, CO; may teach at Legacy Campus, Lone Tree, CO as needed).
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications :
Assistant Teaching Professor: Bachelor’s in nursing, Master’s degree, DNP or doctoral degree in science, nursing, social science, education, or related field; at least two years of AG-ACNP practice; AGACNP certification; demonstrated teaching effectiveness and scholarship; eligible for CO nursing license.
Associate Teaching Professor: Same initial degrees; at least two years AG-ACNP practice; AGACNP certification; demonstrated teaching effectiveness and scholarship; recognized as an expert teacher with sustained scholarship; eligible for CO nursing license.
Teaching Professor: Same initial degrees; at least two years AG-ACNP practice; AGACNP certification; demonstrated teaching effectiveness and leadership in teaching and curriculum development; sustained scholarly work; eligible for CO nursing license.
Preferred Qualifications :
Four+ years of AG-ACNP practice; experience in academic leadership (curricular/program development); Certified Nurse Educator (CNE); demonstrated cross-program teaching and scholarship; collaboration across programs.

Additional Information
Compensation: Assistant Teaching Professor $98,000–$115,000; Associate Teaching Professor $115,000–$130,000; Teaching Professor $130,000–$150,000 (1.0 FTE).
