The Opportunity We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team as a Lead Provider, responsible for providing exceptional care and making a real impact on the lives of our patients within our urgent care clinic. Lead Providers at ConvenientMD act as clinical leaders for all clinical staff, mentoring and supporting new‑grad providers as well as allied healthcare professionals. This role is perfect for an NP who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentorship, and is passionate about delivering high‑quality care.
Your Impact
Provide Patient‑Centered Care:
Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address short‑and long‑term patient needs.
Interview patients, perform physical examinations, obtain, update, and study medical histories.
Administer or order diagnostic tests (e.g., x‑rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory studies) and interpret results.
Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing, and wound management.
Educate patients about their health, describe therapeutic regimens, provide information on growth and development, family planning, and wellness counseling.
Documentation & Compliance:
Prepare clear, complete, accurate, and legible medical records for each patient.
Type, edit, and electronically sign all office notes and reports using EMR in accordance with company policies.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with company and state procedures.
Adhere to infection‑control policies and protocols.
Maintain knowledge of legal and professional requirements and advise management on needed actions.
Collaborate with a Team: Work proactively with other providers and health‑care practitioners to efficiently treat patients and plan coordinated dispositions.
Continuing Education & Mentorship:
Act as a clinic leader, especially in the absence of the Practice Manager.
Provide support and mentorship to new‑graduate providers and other clinic staff.
Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies.
Serve as a preceptor for new provider staff, offering educational and experiential growth opportunities.
Who You Are
Education, Licensure, & Certifications:
Master’s degree and certification by a Nurse Practitioner certifying body.
DEA license with no restrictions.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (CPR, ACLS, or online‑only classes are not accepted).
Relevant experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care settings (preferred).
Strong leadership skills and willingness to mentor provider and non‑provider clinic staff.
Excellent team player who enjoys collaborating and being part of a strong team dynamic.
Proactive and confident communicator (written and verbal).
Compassionate, authentic, and patient‑focused.
Technically savvy with Microsoft Office Suite, EMR, and related software.
Strong knowledge of:
Customer service principles and quality standards.
HIPAA, OSHA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
Relevant pharmacology and patient care aids.
Medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment procedures.
