Garver is seeking an

Eastern North Carolina Water & Wastewater Lead

to build and maintain a portfolio of profitable water / wastewater projects in support of Garver’s expansion into the eastern half of North Carolina. The projects consist of the study, planning, design, and implementation for water and wastewater projects including treatment, distribution, collection, storage, and pumping. This senior leadership position provides the opportunity for someone to grow their own team and business portfolio, with autonomy to focus on the growth of revenues and production for a set of clients of their choosing. The Eastern NC Water Lead will work closely with Garver’s North Carolina Water Business Team Leader to continue growing our North Carolina practice eastward. This position presents an opportunity for significant career advancement and industry-wide recognition through an entrepreneurial approach.

The successful W&WW Lead must be proficient in the following skills:

Team Leadership: must assemble, develop, mentor, and oversee a highly motivated team and establish and grow a new Raleigh-area office for Garver. Project Management: must prepare scope-of-work and level-of-effort estimates for contract proposals; must lead and manage team for successful execution of contracted scope, budget, and schedule Senior Water / Wastewater Design Engineer: must be proficient at the execution of planning, design, bidding, and construction administration phases of water and wastewater treatment facility and linear infrastructure projects. Business Development: must develop, capture, and maintain workload for the team in eastern North Carolina, by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients while closely coordinating with Garver’s North Carolina leadership. Client Service Management: must develop and maintain a healthy network of clients throughout eastern North Carolina and have a willingness to engage with current Garver clients and projects in western NC.

This role will offer the opportunity to leverage Garver’s established, nationally respected Water Services Team and concentrated, industry experts to support business development initiatives for a rapidly growing firm in the Carolinas. Mentorship and development from seasoned leadership and peers will allow this position to have a direct impact on building Garver’s legacy of providing outstanding engineering services to water and wastewater clients in North Carolina.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of North Carolina 8 or more years of similar experience in the water/wastewater utilities market with a focus on treatment facilities and linear infrastructure 5 or more years of project management experience Working knowledge of presentation software such as MS PowerPoint or Keynote Strong communication skills and public speaking ability

Preferred Skills:

Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program 5 or more years of similar experience in supporting municipalities in North Carolina Experience with state and or national conference technical presentations on water/wastewater treatment topics Strong existing client relationships with multiple eastern North Carolina municipal water and wastewater utilities
